txtWeb ropes up one billion transactions

txtWeb, a global open platform for text-based applications has crossed the one billion mark. The firm claims that this milestone underscores txtWeb's commitment of empowering individuals with access to information and entertainment disregard to mobile internet.

This service allows the users to dig out information on various topics via internet by SMSing keywords such as @wiki, @email, @cri, @gold, @movies etc to 51115. The platform is being used across India by millions of users now with millions of mobile phone users using one or more of the 3500 active apps built by developers and businesses across India.
