This product from Executive Software is an undelete utility,
for local and other machines on your the network. Designed for Win NT and
Windows 2000 networks, the software needs to be installed on the server and
client machines. The installer CD has separate installers for both. Once
installed, the network administrator can recover any accidentally deleted files
from either the server or any of the clients, which have the client software
installed.
Once installed, Undelete changes your Recycle Bin to Recovery
Bin. To undelete any file, just double click on the Recovery Bin or open the
application and it shows the local machine’s deleted files. You have the
option of restoring the files either to their original location or an alternate
location. You can also choose to permanently delete selected files. In case you
want to exclude some folders from being included, you can specify them in the
Undelete menu.
For a network undelete, from your server, just click on
Connect button in the menu and select the computer you want to work on. As on
the local machine, the remote machine’s deleted files show up. The rest of the
procedure is exactly the same as on the local machine. The installation of the
Undelete client on the client workstations also lets you do a local undelete
operation from that machine itself, or you can do it from the server end.
A product to ensure that you don’t lose critical data from
your network whether accidentally or on purpose.
A 30-day trial version can be downloaded from
