MS SharePoint Server, OpenCMS are the Leaders in Online CMS Space

Wordpress gets into serious business use as it makes it to the users’ choice club in small enterprises this time. Drupal and Joomla are nowhere in the league.

With more and more businesses getting hooked up online with a website, CMS software are being deployed more than ever. This is why we introduced this category in our users' choice survey last year. Interestingly, we had five brands last year that made it to the users' choice club year with very low current ownerships but high top of mind recall for these brands.

This year only two brands figure in our users' choice club in 500+ category, MS SharePoint Server and the Java based CMS called OpenCMS which was not even in the league of five brands last year . On top of that, the brand also reigns in the small enterprise category with highest top of mind recall and brand ownerships..

The Microsoft CMS this time loses out to OpenCMS in small enterprise category. Wordpress comes into picture this time around making it to the third spot. Drupal or for that matter Sitefinity CMS aren't seen in the club this year.

To sum up, OpenCMS and Wordpress start gaining traction while DotNetNuke which was a runner-up last year in 500+ category could not make it to the club.

On brand loyalty, MS SharePoint Server enjoys 100% loyalty across categories while 20% of OpenCMS users in small enterprise category are planning a shift out. Although the user. In case of WordPress, 100% of users who're already using it said they plan to stick to it in the future as well.

60% of respondents who said they were using OpenCMS gave product quality as the key reason for their satisfaction with the product. 50% of SharePoint Server users cited brand value as the reason for owning current brand. Value for money is the only reason for all Wordpress users to own the current brand and they are planning to use it in future given its reliability. Seventy five percent of SharePoint Server users are likely to buy it in future for the reliability of the product.
