Videocon launches A29 Smartphone for first time users

Videocon Mobiles has added A29 to its entry-level smartphone line-up in the country. The company which has managed to offer well-packaged products to consumers in the country across entry and mid-level price segment will be hoping that A29 is able to offer similar success.

This smartphone is running on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 and sports a 4 inch WVGA capacitive touch display with resolution of 480x800 pixels. It packs a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, clubbed with 512 MB RAM and the smartphone offers inbuilt storage of 4 GB which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD Card.

The A29 is equipped with 3.2 MP rear camera with flash, VGA front camera and 1400 mAh battery that should satisfy basic usage requirement with a day's life, if not more. For connectivity it is equipped with features like 3G, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and A-GPS among others. The smarphone is priced at Rs 5799.

A29 is competing in a space where the likes of Micromax, Spice Mobile, Maxx Mobile and few more domestic brands have crammed the market with entry-level smartphone offerings priced upwards of Rs 3,990. Smartphones in this range are merely fulfilling the basic usage of a smartphone without blowing a hole in your pockets.
