Vivo Unveils Vivo X100 Series and Vivo Watch 3 Launch Date, Expected to Launch with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chip

Vivo X100 Series and Watch 3 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Launch

Vivo has confirmed the 'Vivo X100 series' debut date officially. The company unveiled the poster to advertise the launch of its flagship cameras, the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro, on November 13 in China at 7 p.m. (local time). Alongside the Vivo X100 series, the Vivo Watch 3 will also be introduced.

Vivo X100 and X100Pro Highlights

The X100 and X100 Pro are the first smartphones to feature LPDRT5 RAM, which promises 13 percent better performance compared to the LPDDR5x RAM available in almost all recent flagships.

This score is higher than upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered flagships such as Realme GT 5 Pro, OnePlus 12 and Xiaomi 14 (already released), which received similar scores of 2,229,696, 2,110,808 and 1.97 points respectively on AnTuTu.

The X100 Pro+ with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2024. The Vivo X100 series comes pre-installed with the all-new OriginOS 4-based Android 14. The X100 series also features enhanced Zeiss-certified Vario- APO Sonnar lens for periscope telephoto shooting.

The range is likely to have a starting price of 3,999 yuan (~$546), which is similar to the Xiaomi 14 series.

The Vivo X100 series includes the Dimensity 9300, which is expected to debut at MediaTek's launch event on November 6. The X100 with model number V2309A was recently tested on AnTuTu with an impressive score of 2,249,858. 

Vivo Watch 3

The Vivo Watch 3 is also slated to be released alongside the X100 series. The brand has confirmed that it will run on the newly developed Blue OS, which will have its own app store and offer unlimited watch support using generative AI. It is the first operating system in the world written in the Rust programming language.

In addition, Blue OS was presented as the first operating system in the world to build a system framework using the Rust programming language.
