Vivo Y78t Debuts with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC and 6,000mAh Battery: Price, Specs Unveiled

The Vivo Y78t is the latest Y-series cellphone from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. The new Vivo smartphone is available in three colour variants and features a 6.64-inch IPS LCD with full-HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. A Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC powers the Vivo Y78t with up to 12GB of RAM. The Vivo Y78t has a dual rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging capabilities. The device is the successor of the Vivo Y77t, which debuted in China in August.

Vivo Y78t price and availability in India

The top-end Vivo Y78t with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs CNY 1,499 (about Rs. 17,000). The prices for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage are currently unclear. It is available in Moon Shadow Black, Snowy White, and Distance Mountains Green (translated from Chinese). The Vivo Y78t phone is available in China through Vivo's official e-store.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Y78t comes preloaded with OriginOS 3, based on Android 13. It has a 6.64-inch full-HD+ (2,388 x 1,080 pixel) LCD IPS display, a refresh rate of 120Hz, a pixel density of 394ppi, and a screen-to-body ratio 91.06. The display has a notch in the center for the selfie camera. The Vivo Y78t device is powered by an octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen SoC and up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM.

The Vivo Y78t has a dual rear camera configuration for photographs and movies, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 2-megapixel depth shooter with an f/2.4 lens. It has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture on the front. Furthermore, the Vivo Y78t  device includes 256GB of UFS2.2 storage.

The Vivo Y78t 5G has 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Beidou, Glonass, Galileo, QZSS, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and gyroscope are among the sensors aboard. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the side for authentication.

A 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging capabilities powers the Vivo Y78t. It has dimensions of 164.63x75.80x9.10mm and weighs roughly 199 grams.
