This USB-based mobile hard disk can be used to quickly backup, share and transfer files from one system to another. The systems can range from a desktop PC to notebook or even a Mac system; plus each can be located in different areas. It weighs a mere 175 g, making it easy to carry around.

To start working on the drive, you have to connect it to your PC using the provided USB cable and drivers from the accompanying CD. Once installed, its automatically assigned a drive letter by Windows. An additional cable has also been provided, which can be used to draw power for the hard disk from the PS2 port, too–useful if your machine has many USB devices. Also, a red light glows to indicate disk activity.

To check its performance, we transferred 88 MB data from our hard disk to the mobile one, and it completed the task in 1 min 40 sec, giving it an approximate speed of 880 kB/sec. This is good considering its rated speed of 700 kB/sec. 



Also thrown in is an attractive leather pouch for carrying the drive. A price of about Rs 20,000 is decent enough considering its weight, capacity and ease of use.
