Western Digital, one of the well known names in the storage space has added a unique product to its collection of storage devices, WD Black2.

WDBlack2TM is dual drive that brings first-ever solid state drive (SSD) and hard disk drive fusion to the table for end consumers. Present day consumers are looking for high-storage drive options that can deliver high data speeds for seamless output performance. The 120 GB SSD is combined with 1 TB HDD option and targeted at users looking to upgrade their notebooks and even all-in-one (AIO) systems. The WD Black2 dual drive connects to your system via a single cable.

Also, according to WD, consumers can opt for the WD Black2 dual-drive option instead of adopting the cloud-based storage. The dual-drive utilizes benefits of both SSD and HDD, offers data control and primarily aimed at creative professionals, gamers and PC enthusiasts.

Available in a 2.5 inch form factor, the WD Black2 support SATA 6 Gb/second interface with SATA connector and compatible with platforms Windows XP to Windows 8.1.

The WD Black2 dual drive has been announced globally and comes along with a five-year limited warranty. The company will be disclosing the price and availability details for WD Black2 in India in the coming months.
