WhatsApp to allow sharing 100 media files at once

According to rumours, WhatsApp is planning to make it possible for users to send up to 100 media files at once. Currently, WhatsApp only permits 30 files. The new development has been discovered by renowned tracker WABetaInfo in the WhatsApp beta for the Android 2.24.4.3 update.

However, according to WABetaInfo, just a small number of beta testers have access to the new function. Customers only need to try selecting more than 30 files in the media picker within the app to see if the capability is activated.

The option is available to you if you can choose more than 30 files. There is no alternative to waiting for future updates if it isn't activated, thus users of WhatsApp must do so. The majority of WhatsApp users would welcome this long overdue addition.

The limitation with 100 media file sharing is that users can’t select the same photo or video multiple times. Since the feature already made it to the beta testing phase, we can expect it to be rolled out to the general public in the coming days but an exact timeline can’t be confirmed just yet.

WhatsApp other new upgrades

  • WhatsApp Status Updates are getting some new features that will let users share brief updates with their contacts.
  • First, there's the Private Audience Selector, which lets users choose who sees their status updates, as the name suggests. Although this is not a brand-new feature, its implementation provides a more individualized experience in the future. The most recent audience selection has been saved, and when the next update comes out, it will be used as the default.
  • The Voice Status feature, which enables users to share voice notes of up to thirty seconds via their Status, comes next. According to WhatsApp, this is a method for sharing more intimate updates.
  • Through Status Reactions Users will be able to simply swipe up and tap one of the eight emojis to respond to status updates with this feature. This is the same as how Instagram works.
  • Status Profile Rings feature will make it simpler to view status updates in chat lists, lists of group members, and contact information. Every time a user updates their status, a ring will appear around their profile picture.
  • Link Previews on Status are our final feature. This indicates that a visual preview of the link's content is accessible whenever a user posts a link.
  • This is done to give contacts more information about the link before they click it. According to WhatsApp, these updates have begun rolling out to all users worldwide and will be available to all in the coming weeks.
