Currently, users either have to carry around an extra phone or tablet to access these WhatsApp accounts, or they have to continuously log in and out of accounts to switch between them. Are you also one of them, frustrated by logging out of your personal account to access the one that you use for your work?

Well, WhatsApp will definitely make your work easier now that you can access multiple accounts on one device. This feature allows users to seamlessly switch between accounts within the app. The "Dual WhatsApp Account" feature also makes it easier for users to manage conversations between multiple accounts.

What if you want to use multiple accounts on one device?

To use two WhatsApp accounts, you need another phone number (a physical SIM card or an e-SIM number). So make sure your phone supports multiple SIM or eSIM, otherwise, you must use another device. Only then can you create a new account for this device? An alternate number is required to obtain a one-time password.

Currently, WhatsApp sends a text message that allows users to access their accounts. Here's a step-by-step guide to setting up and using multiple WhatsApp accounts on one device.

  • Update your WhatsApp app to the latest version
  • Open the Settings menu with three dots in the upper left corner of the program
  •  Here, you will find a small arrow next to your name
  •  Tap on it and select "Add Account".
  •  Enter your second phone number and confirm it with the code sent via text message or phone call.
  • Once confirmed and set up, tap the arrow next to your name to switch between accounts
  • Tap the arrow next to your name and select the account you want to use.  You can change the privacy and notification settings for each account individually.

Additionally, you can apply other settings independently, such as muting or archiving conversations, deleting messages, or blocking certain contact information for each account.
