On Wednesday, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, as well as the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Tab S9 series. The Watch 6 series contains a base model and a Classic model. The tablet portfolio included a base, plus, and extreme model. All of the gadgets were unveiled during the Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are the successors of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Both recently released smartphones are powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and run Android 13-based OneUI 5.1.1.

Price of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 in India

  • The 12GB + 256GB edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 costs Rs. 1,54,999. The prices for the 12GB + 512GB and 12GB + 1TB variants are Rs. 1,64,999 and Rs. 1,84,999, respectively.

  • The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is priced at Rs. 99,999 and Rs. 1,09,999 for its 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 512GB storage options, respectively.
  • The book-style Galaxy Z Fold 5 foldable is available in Cream, Icy Blue, and Phantom Black colorways. At the same time, the  Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone is only available on the company's website in Blue and Grey. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes in Blue, Cream, Graphite, Grey, Green, Lavender, Mint, and Yellow colours.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5's core display is a 7.6-inch QXGA+ (2,176 x 1,812 pixel) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, while the cover screen is a 6.2-inch full-HD+ (2,316 x 904 pixel) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,640 pixel) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex core display and a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED folder-shaped outer display.

An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC powers the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5.

The book-style Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 foldable has 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. The clamshell foldable sports 8GB of RAM and a storage capacity of up to 512GB. Both Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 phones are powered by the Android 13-based OneUI 5.1.1.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens for optics. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 has two 12-megapixel cameras on the back. Each phone has a 10-megapixel selfie camera. A 4-megapixel under-display camera is also included with the Fold 5.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a 4,400mAh battery and supports 25W wired fast charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare. The Flip 5, on the other hand, has a 3,700mAh battery with comparable charging capability. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 phones also have 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
