According to company released statement, "the 250 GB variant of Xbox 360 now costs Rs 21,990, while the 250 GB model of Xbox 360 with Kinect will sell in the country at Rs 31,990."

Usually, we've come to see similar price corrections on older models that imply the impending launch of the respective latest models and with Xbox 360, one attains a similar feeling. Interesting to note is that, while the prices of the 250 GB models have come down, the prices of basic 4 GB version remain the same.

"The Xbox 360 price cut is complemented by the scheme called Xbox Live Gold Rush Promo, which offers 36 free games on the purchase of Xbox Live Gold Membership. It will be valid from May 21 to July 30th 2014," added the release.

Microsoft will launch the Xbox One in September this year which is almost 10 months after Sony launched its Playstation 4 gaming console in India at Rs 39,990. Microsoft can however, take heart from the fact that the Japanese company has been facing major stocking issues which could still somehow enable Xbox One to chase lost ground on Playstation 4.
