YU Yutopia Teaser Hints At QHD Display And A Full Metal Body Smartphone

YU is planning to launch a flagship smartphone YUTOPIA in November and they posted a photo on its Facebook page with a caption “Calling a 1080p Display a 2016 Flagship killer? ‪">#‎WhySettle ‪#‎YUTOPIA  Register now  http://www.yuplaygod.com/campaigns/yutopia. The photo is of OnePlus 2, which takes a dig at its 1080p display and tagline Never Settle. This hint should be enough to assume that the Yutopia might come equipped with a better display than OnePlus 2.

The last teaser highlighted Yutopia’s metal body with crisp edges. With the latest teaser, we now know that the smartphone will have a metal body and possibly a QHD display. Unlike other YU smartphones that are priced under Rs 10,000, the Yutopia might be the first smartphone from the company to be priced above 10k,We think it might be under 25k.

Specs: From the leaked portfolio that we have come across up till now, the smartphone could flaunt a 5.5-inch with a vibrant 2K display.The smartphone could comes with a 21 MP rear camera and an 8 MP selfie camera. Connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS are expected to be present. The Yutopia could come with CyanogenMod 12 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.Yutopia might be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage.
