PUBG Mobile Ban. PUBG Lite PC

PUBG Mobile players have gotten a surprise from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Government of India. A press released issued by the GOI said that the game along with 118 apps and games have been banned from operating in the Indian shores. A move that took many players and people by surprise. Mostly due to the fact that Tencent games even revised its policy for India when TikTok was banned in the first Chinese app ban. Nevertheless, PUBG Mobile is banned and as of now, there has been no official statement issued by Tencent Games regarding the ban. Now it doesn't mean that you can't play PUBG in India but you won't be able to play PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite.

In 2019 Bluehole released a free to play PUBG for laptops and computers. The game was called PUBG Lite PC and it made quite a splash when it was still in Beta and was not opened to the Indian region. Sadly, Bluehole got its timing wrong in opening the PUBG Lite PC to the Indian gaming community and many players were still comfortable playing on Tencent Gaming Buddy or Gameloop emulator. Now that PUBG Mobile is banned its time we take a look at this free PC game again.

PUBG Mobile Ban: How to Play PUBG in India For Free?

PUBG Lite PC was released in 2019 by Bluehole which is the developer of the original PUBG PC. The game is completely free to download and play. The idea behind PUBG Lite PC was simple, make a PUBG run on a potato laptop or computer so players can stop playing on the Tencent emulator. Sadly the timing of the release in India was wrong and the game never got the attention it deserves but that may not be such a bad thing. With the PUBG Mobile ban in place now, players will be looking at a more sorted PUBG PC Lite now with all the maps and game modes already ready.

One thing to note here is that PUBG Lite PC has no dedicated Indian server anymore so the pings in the game can get quite high but the game is playable even at those high ping spikes. Now PUBG Lite PC has all the maps from Erangle to Vikendi but sadly for the fans of PUBG mobile, there is no Livik map. PUBG Lite PC offers players a gaming experience that is as close you can get between a mashup of the original PUBG PC and PUBG Mobile.

The best part of PUBG Lite PC is that it is not just free but does not require you to have a full-fledged gaming laptop or computer. We tested the game recently on a laptop running on Intel i5 8250U with 8GB of DDR4 Ram and Nvidia MX150. The game ran just fine on medium graphics and it perfectly playable on low settings as well.
