Embed videos in your presentation
You can embed video from online video sharing sites like Youtube or from your
local drive. Using the media options under the Insert tab, you can either upload
the video from the website or from the local drive. With the help of video tools
and other options of formatting and giving effects, you can also trim video,
apply fades, set video effects & styles and set preview image for your video.
Paste the embedded link in the box. Here you can see the Youtube video being uploaded in the presentation. |
The black triangle represents the diamond shape effect and just below you can see the reflection of the presentation. |
Capture screenshot with the in-built screen capture tool
With the help of PowerPoint screen capture feature, you can simply capture
the screenshot of a particular area from the available options. Apart from this,
you can simply capture the screenshot of the last window that you were working
upon. This feature was first introduced in the last release of OneNote, but now
has been brought to all other applications.
The screenshot tool shows the available windows to choose from, else it directs you to the last used window. |
Here we have captured the screenshot of Youtube which was the last window that we were working on. |
Broadcast your presentation
You can simply broadcast your presentation to remote users with the help of
PowerPoint's Broadcasting capabilities. To broadcast the presentation simply
click on the Slide show ribbon and select the 'Broadcast slideshow' option. This
uploads the presentation to a broadcast server which is free and gives you a
link that can be shared with anyone to access the slideshow. All you need is a
free Microsoft Live ID.
Under the Silde Show tab, select the Broadcast slideshow and start broadcasting. |
With the help of this link, different users can open the URL in their browser and start viewing the presentation. |
Convert to video, send as email, save to sky drive, and more
The interesting part here is that by converting your presentation into video
format, you can simply view it with media player, for people who don't have
PowerPoint installed on their system. You can attach a PDF document of your
presentation to the email or use the Skydrive to embed the presentation and
share it with anyone.
Select the share option from the File menu. You can convert it to video or choose other options. |
Under the Insert tab, the Equation option lets you select different mathematical equations. |
You can format your mathematical equation in various ways. For instance, you can change fonts, their size and color. |
Add mathematical equations
With the help of Equation Editor, you can add some mathematical equations to
your presentations. You can also use it to create your own custom equations by
using a library of mathematical functions. Till now this feature was only
available in Word and Excel.
