Almost every Indian developer is weaned on writing code for accounting packages and many end up doing just that for life.

One would expect better accounting packages every day. But since 1994, Tally has been the winner.

This year too, the only change is that FACT has come second in place of 'own development' of last year. In current usage also, Tally leads by a significant margin, followed by 'self developed' packages at second place, and FACT at third.
