New Update

Tally has retained its hold in this category again this year, a position that it has held since 1994. And, this year, too, it has won by a very impressive margin. Its closest contender is customized software with a UPI of 41%.Most of those who responded said that they voted for Tally because they had used and were satisfied with the product and that it is a well-known brand.

Though strong in all the three regions polled, Tally’s position is the most dominant in the North. In terms of verticals, Tally got its boost from software, telecom and BPO. To be fair, it got its share from other verticals too. The other brands, whose names came up in the survey are Quick Book, TCS-EX, Ace, FACT, Intui, Peach Tree, Turbo Tax and TaxCut. Tally is way ahead of all these; Quick Book that came in at number three has a UPI of just 6%. Interestingly, FACT that came into the Users’ Choice Club in 2001, is way below, not even getting a UPI of 1%. Brand loyalty in this case is skewed towards Tally, with 95% of current Tally users pledging loyalty to it.
