This is a sleek notebook from ACi for business users. Its configuration is adequate for most business requirements, and provides room for changes also. The one we received had a P4 2.4 GHz processor, 256 MB DDR RAM, 30 GB HDD, a combo and a floppy drive. Out of this, you can opt for memory up to 1 GB, change the combo drive to a DVD, CD-RW, or even a plain CD-drive, and even go for a lower processor speed. The notebook has a TFT LCD display for sharp picture quality.

One particularly interesting feature was a tiny webcam embedded into the LCD’s frame. It works quite well, providing decent resolution and picture quality. The notebook has a touch pad as the pointing device. Other features include three USB ports and a FireWire port, a PCMCI slot, onboard 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and a modem for network connectivity. Sound card and speakers are also onboard, and provide fairly good audio. Plus, the notebook also has an IR-port. Finally, there’s a VGA port for projectors.

It gave a good score of 44.1 in Business Winstone 2001, which tests for regular productivity applications. The notebook also fared well in running high-end applications, giving a score of 64.3 in Content Creation Winstone 2001. Lastly, we checked it for battery life using BatteryMark 4.0. It was able to survive for 2 hour 20 min on battery. A full recharge took around two-and-a-half hours. Overall, a good notebook for a mobile professional.
