ACi’s e three new notebooks–Profile 5500, 3220, and 3270–are sleek in design, come in attractive colors, and give you enough hand-rest space to work comfortably.

The Profile 3270, the high-end range of the lot, has four machines, each with an FSB of 133 MHz. The four machines are a Celeron 900, two PIII/GHz, and a PIII/1.13 GHz. The first three have a basic configuration of 128 MB RAM, 10 GB HDD, 24x CD-ROM drive, 1.44 FDD, display memory up to 64 MB AGP 4x, 56 K modem, 10/100 Mbps LAN, Li-ion batteries, Windows 98/Me, McAfee anti virus, and Star Office.

While the Celeron and one of the PIII/1 GHz machines have a 13.3” XGA TFT, the other PIII/1 GHz has a 14.1” XGA TFT one. The 1.13 GHz machine has a 14.1” XGA TFT display,
256 MB RAM, 20 GB hard disk, a DVD or a CD-RW drive. All four machines have built-in speakers and microphone, a headphone and a microphone jack, an external CRT port, a DC-in and a TV-out port, one parallel, two USB, and a FireWire port, ports for external keyboard and mouse, and IR transfer capability. The prices: Celeron 900: Rs 79,990; PIII/1 GHz with 13.1” XGA TFT: Rs 89,990; PIII/1 GHz with 14.1” XGA TFT: Rs 99,990; PIII/1.13 GHz: 
Rs 119,990.
