Bharat Oman Refineries' SAP-Exaquantum Integration

Bharat Oman produces about 18 different intermediate products and 11 different finished goods products which are stored in 77 Tanks. They manage inventory accounting in SAP and have deployed Yokogowa CENTUM CS 3000 distributed control system (DCS) for oil refining facilities. However, users had to manually post dip entries for all the tanks which resulted in delay of real time data. Besides, as half of the tanks were a part of Yokogowa CS 3000 DCS and the other half was under Honeywell TAS, the challenge was to integrate the two systems before the data of all the 77 tanks could be fetched into SAP. The company used Yokogawa Exaquantum server to integrate the two systems and send data in CSV format to SAP. This has enabled the user to post real-time tank dips in SAP with a single click of a button, easing out the workload of the user group, saving a lot of documentation effort and giving better monitoring of oil stocks. Intelenet Global Services' I-Resolve

The solution provides residents of the country a one stop contact center with a well‐defined mechanism for solving their queries; complaints and feedback pertaining to a number of inter related services provided by UIDAI. The final implementation involved a specialized solution for resident care and service. The multi channel solution offers a spectrum of contact mediums such as phone calling, e-mails, white mails/letters; FAX, etc. The contact centre now services queries, complaints, and requests in an effective and timely manner. Residents can log in their cases through any or all of these contact mediums. Authority resolving a case can log into the web based system independent of the location and time and assign resolution related information or specify a higher escalation point. The solution has resulted in detailed reporting for vision on key business performance indicators; reduced response times and improved satisfaction; improved employed productivity; lesser administrative work and higher close ratios and insights into the bottlenecks in system operations.
