This is a tool for remotely administering workstations in a

network. It is pretty much similar to a Windows remote desktop connection,

only difference being that the remote workstation does not get locked and thus,

the remote user can also work on his machine. You can choose to have either a

Complete Control or a View Only control over the remote PC. It also supports

Telnet, File Transfer and Shutdown connection types. To get started, you need to

run Remote Administrator's server software on the remote computer and the

client software on the administrator system. The server sends the display screen

of the remote system to the client, which in turn receives and displays it on

the administrator system. To prevent someone other than the administrator from

changing the remote administrator server configurations, the tool provides

password protection for all types of configurations. It can work on Windows

2000, XP and 2003 Server but it doesn't work on Linux.

1

To connect to the remote computer, click on Connection and then on Connect to Button. Specify the IP address, choose the connection type and click on Connect

2

Check Use IP filter option and click on Add to specify IP addresses which can access the remote server. You can also customize the port to be used and user permissions
3 Customize the view mode, color format and the maximum number of updates that a client can receive in a second

4

Once connected you have full control over the remote computer. Press Ctrl + F12 for the computer's menu
