Aeon — ECO

Performance. The UPS that gets top honors in our shootout this time has been a participant for several years. It scores the highest amongst all UPSs in performance, clearing the load test at 100 percent load with ease. It has a wide input voltage range of 136 V-271 V, which minimizes switchovers to battery. While some other UPSs also have good input ranges, the Aeon complements this with an equally good output voltage regulation. 

Though the winner, it has a downside too. The float voltage for its batteries is a low 2.16 V DC, which can adversely affect the battery life. Also the backup time it provides to an 80 percent load is just above three minutes. 

Features. The Aeon comes bundled with control software, and has plenty of indicators. It has no additional features like a surge protection port or outlet.

Price. It is priced at Rs11,000 with a one-year warranty on both the UPS and batteries. This is pretty decent, considering the performance.
