New Update

As compared to last version of Internet security, Albion Secure has brought a much more improved and strong product which is quite capable of taking head to head with some of the market leaders in the security domain. Starting with installation, it is absolutely hassle-free and you will be done with the setup within minutes. Interface has been changed this time, with four major tabs of antivirus, privacy, firewall and update provided upfront. Taking feature set on count, this is a better enlisted product. You will get almost all sort of standard features, which are found in an Internet security suite. Still, there is scope of addition of more features like Identity protection and utility tools like password manager.

I applied some test cases to analyze the performance and efficiency of security suite. EICAR clearly states that, an antivirus should atleast detect and block the .txt and dos files, if it is not able to catch the viruses in compressed files. Here, Albion IS 2014 was able to detect and block all eight files when downloaded. In second test, it restricted the access of 23 out of 25 zero day malicious websites, which is again a very good number. A folder containing assortment of files (potential threats) of 250 MB was scanned with this security suite. It discovered about 17865 threats in 30minutes and took another 40 minutes to process (disinfected, deleted, quarantined) them. Total time of 70 minutes is a bit more for the taking but good thing is that, it was able to clean the system. Meanwhile, the Internet security was not harsh on CPU or primary memory where only 13MB was utilized by it during scanning process.
