New Update

A total security suite is just an extension of an Internet security suite. Usually, in a Total security suite, you will find couple of tools for system maintenance or optimization, data access restriction, etc alongside Internet security suite. Here also, in case of Albion secure Total security, there are added features like file encryption, PC tune up, online storage (2 GB free) with all attributes of Internet security. But still, the features like Online backup with auto sync and anti-theft were missing. Frankly speaking, both security suites are very similar to each other in terms of appearance and performance. Again, like its other sibling, Albion Secure Total security got installed on my system within two minutes, without troubling me much. And then, I started using it right away.

I applied all test cases which were used earlier in Albion Secure IS 2014. I tried to download all eight files of EICAR, but it was completely blocked and I couldn't download it. Then again, like Internet security, the total security suite took a total of 75 minutes to scan and process the potential threats (17867) discovered. Though in system scan, it took only 2 minutes to scan 17GB of data with 15MB memory consumption. When I tried to access 25 zero day malicious websites, I succeeded in only three attempts, otherwise it was blocked. So, again it's a very high success percentage.

On comparing it with Trend Micro Maximum security 6.0, the Albion security was better on performance front. As it was able to catch virus from double compressed file, while Trend micro was able to catch it only after opening the file.
