The OnePlus smartphone and accessory business, located in China and owned by BBK Electronics, declared that all of its 5G-capable smartphones released since 2020 are now compatible with 5G connectivity in India.

According to a statement from the company, all smartphones that the brand has released since the OnePlus 8 series and the original OnePlus Nord in 2020 are now compatible with 5G networks offered by all telecom network providers in India.

While this includes Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio in terms of currently active and accessible 5G networks, the company stated in a statement that it has also tested its devices as part of a trial phase of Vi 5G in New Delhi, and once launched, the devices will be compatible with all OnePlus phones.

The OnePlus Flagship series includes the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 8T, 9, 9 Pro, 9R, 9RT, 10 Pro, 10R, and 10T.

On the other hand, the Nord series includes the OnePlus Nord, OnePlus Nord 2, OnePlus Nord 2T, and OnePlus Nord CE, CE 2, and CE 2 Lite.

The Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, OnePlus's most affordable smartphone with 5G connectivity, costs Rs 18,999.

In its statement, the company highlighted data from the September 2022 quarter from market researcher Counterpoint India to claim that it was the market leader in device shipments across two price bands Rs 20,000 to 30,000, and Rs 30,000 to 45,000 during the period.

The OnePlus 11, the company's flagship smartphone of the next generation, is expected to be introduced in China later this week.

Additionally, it is anticipated that the most recent generation of the device will be displayed in India on February 7 as part of the company's India launch event. The device is likely to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC from Qualcomm.
