New Update
Among Us

Among Us has been one of the most popular games across platforms for some time now. It rose to popularity soon after it launched. Players from across community tried their hands on it and appreciated the simple graphics and mechanics. The strategy-based game is fun to play and lets players interact and enjoy with up to 10 friends at a time.

However, the popularity of the game seems to be diminishing for quite some time now. The community on Steam has come down to 18K. The mobile gaming community is also not showing much interest in playing it now. The game is not bad and is still very fun to play then what went wrong for Among Us? How did it become the imposter itself?

Updates

One of the major issues that players faced was that the game hadn't seen any major updates. For the longest time, until March 31 2021, the game had not seen any update. To sustain the player base and the attention of the community, it is very important to keep updating the game with new and improved things. The developers failed in doing that.

Even after the update, nothing actually changed. A new map was added but the tasks remained the same. This might look like a half-hearted step even after taking one good year to roll out an update.

Updates Ejecting Features

The most interesting and intense part of the game used to be the meetings where everyone would call their suspicions and vote for someone who is a "sus". That changes with the new update. Players can not type and have to respond with the pre-existing options of dialogues. This takes away the personal touch from the game.

Monotonous Gameplay

Since the game had not seen any updates, the way the game was played never changed. The missions, the movements, the characters, everything had become monotonous. Players started getting bored of this monotony after a while.

No Point of Investment

Players who are serious about a game tend to invest on skins or resources in the game. This is also the case with Among Us but the problem is that players can not really buy supplies. The game only offers hats and other accessories but no extra resources. This made the game a no-no investment.

The Airship update could have been a lot better than what it is and this might be the time when the community throws the "Imposter" out.
