Among Us New Map The Airship Revealed, New Tasks Are Coming in 2021

The devs of Innersloth have finally smiled upon us. The new map of Among Us has been revealed and it is everything we hoped it would be. It was during The Game Awards that the devs gave us a sneak peek of the new map. We have the trailer of the new map in Among Us and it is called The Airship. This new map has been in the news for a long time, especially after we got a photo of it. Now, we actually have new Among Us footage that revealed more about this new henry stickmin based map.

New Among Us Map- Airship

The new map is called THE AIRSHIP and as the name goes, you will be playing inside a literal airship. This in itself is a deviation from the usual maps of Among Us. All of the three maps including MiraHQ, Polus, and Skeld are based on flying spaceships not airplanes. However, if we look at the information we previously had about The Airship map it does match the expectations. Innersolth devs have also told that the new map will be arriving in the game in early 2021.

Marcus also known as Puff on Twitter did mention that the Among Us dev team had good reason to release the map in 2021. According to this recent tweet from his Twitter account, it seems that the map still is under development but will be ready in 2021. The team at Innersloth didn't want to release the new Among Us map without proper testing which is something that every gamer should appreciate.

We tried really hard to get the map out this year but it just wasn't ready. We didn't want to put something out that wasn't solid.

That does it for the basics. However, if you take a look at the trailer of the Among Us Airship map it shows that there are major changes coming to the game. Players can expect new skins, new kills animations, new ladders, new tasks, and even newer ways of moving around. The Airship map in Among Us will be divided into two different levels. There will be a bottom level and a top-level where the players will spawn.

To move between the different levels the devs have added a ladder for the first time in the game. Players can use the ladder to move between the top and bottom levels. There will be new tasks as well including one where you will be disposing waste from the medbay. Even the emergency meeting is getting an update. Players will be able to choose where they want to be on the map once the emergency meeting is over.
