APC by Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, today announced the launch of the Back-UPSTM600 VA BX600CI-IN, a feature packed uninterrupted power supply (UPS) system designed for users requiring performance and protection in varying power conditions. The Back-UPSTM 600 VA BX600CI-IN provides an affordable and reliable solution for computers, wireless networking routers/modems, gaming consoles and other electronic equipment in homes and businesses, offering safe power and surge protection at the best price to performance ratio. The UPS supplies battery backup during outages, as well as protection from damaging surges and spikes. With unique battery saver functionality, that has been introduced in any UPS for the first time, the UPS battery life can be increased up to two times as compared to other UPSs in the market, providing a higher, more consistent and best-in-class runtime. The run time of 27 minutes on a typical all-in-one PC provides greater chat time, enables more online transactions and downloads, uninterrupted during power outages.

Other key features of the Back-UPSTM 600 VA BX600CI-IN include:

● Back up and protects computers, gaming consoles, and other equipment at home

● Faster recharge time of 4 to 6 hours

● Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) which corrects incoming voltage

● Wide input voltage window: 145V to 290V

● Compatibility with lower power loads, for example Wi-Fi routers and DSL modems

● Generator compatibility and compatibility with PFC power supplies in computers

● There is input circuit breaker to protect from over load

● Beeper delay ensures the UPS stays quiet during changeover from mains to generator

● Built-in thermal runaway protection capability gives users the added assurance that their UPS will not overheat and damage the equipment it is powering, or cause it to be a fire hazard

“Power deficit and power quality are serious concerns faced by consumers in India. Due to frequent power outages and unclean power, power sensitive equipment like computers, gaming consoles, and other digital equipment in homes and offices are often subjected to devastating effects like data loss, burnt circuit boards and impaired components,” said M Gurudutt, Direct Channel Business, Schneider Electric IT Business, India. “The Back UPS 600 VA not only saves power but also optimizes power consumption. The uniqueness of the UPS lies in its industry first battery saver and high run-time capabilities that guarantees the necessary backup power availability for users to remain up and running and save their work – eliminating the consequences and high costs caused by downtime.”
