The M3 chip will be included in the next 13-inch MacBook Air.

Mark Gurman believes the yet-unannounced M3 chip will be included in the next 13-inch MacBook Air. This chip will be manufactured for improved performance using TSMC's most recent 3nm technology. The current 13-inch model, announced in July 2022, is powered by the M2 CPU, constructed on a 5nm technology. Gurman declined to say whether the M3 CPU will also be included in the 15-inch MacBook Air. According to media sources, he stated that while a 15-inch device with an M2 CPU "may still thrill buyers," it would "soon become outdated" with the introduction of the M3.

Apple's supply chain began the manufacture of display panels for a new 15.5-inch MacBook Air in February.

Is there ambiguity surrounding the new MacBook Air models?

He also expects a new Mac Pro desktop tower with an M2 Ultra CPU and the same design as the 2019 model to be delivered by the summer and an upgraded 24-inch iMac this year.

Other Information

In other developments, the Cupertino-based tech titan intends to release the new Yellow colour for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. The iPhone 11 and XR last had a Yellow colour option in 2019 and 2018, respectively. Although it is unknown whether Apple will launch a new colour for the iPhone14 Pro models, Yellow may be similar to the current Gold colour.
