Apple BKC is intended to be one of the world's most energy-conscious Apple retail outlets, with a specialised solar array and no reliance on fossil fuels for store operations. The Apple shop is carbon-neutral in process, using only renewable energy. It has a handmade triangular wooden roof that extends beyond the exterior glass to the bottom of the outdoor canopy representing the store's unusual geometry.

Each tile is constructed with 408 pieces of timber, resulting in 31 modules per tile and a total of 1,000 tiles that comprise the ceiling. There are around 450,000 separate wood parts that were all constructed in Delhi.Customers are greeted upon entering the store by two Rajasthan-sourced stone walls and a 14-metre-long stainless steel stairway linking the ground level to the cantilevered mezzanine.

Apple BKC has around 100 team members that speak 20 languages.
