Apple announced the event date of its next event, today. On Wednesday, September 7 company event will take place inside the company's Apple Park campus. The event will start at 10:00 AM PT and will be attended in-person as well as live streamed on the company's website and YouTube.
It is likely that the priority will be iPhone models for this event with the iPhone 14 Max will be the new product and major highlight of the event. It will have the same dimensions as the iPhone 14 Pro Max but with the feature-set of the iPhone 14 and the iPhone, mini will be replaced from the lineup.
What to expect
The new iPhones are expected to get an updated display with the pill-shaped cutout replacing the current notch while the notch did see a size reduction last year, it continues to be fairly large and possibly the largest on any production phone today.
The new iPhone this year would be an always-on display, although it is expected to only be available on the Pro models. Also rumoured to be exclusive on the Pro models is the next generation A16 processor, with the standard models retaining the A14 with a 48-megapixel camera alongside new autofocus, according to GSMArena.
Launching alongside the new iPhones would be the next generation Apple Watch Series 8. It is expected to be available in a standard and a Pro variant, with the latter having a larger display, rugged titanium body, and shatter-resistant glass. The Pro model is also rumoured to have a body temperature sensor.
As been reported recently that iPad Pro models are likely to be announced during the October event alongside any Mac updates.
