Asus P5K3 Premium supports the latest Intel Quad-core processors with LGA775
socket. The board is designed to support 8GB of dual-channel in-built DIMM
1066/800 architecture, 1333/1066/800 FSB (Front Side Bus), PCI Express X 16
graphics and multi-core CPUs. The Turbo D3 feature provides users with memory
overclocking above DDR3 1500MHz.
We tested the board with 120 GB SATA 7200rpm HDD with Intel Quad Core 2.66
GHz Processor with 2 GB DDR3 1033 MHz RAM with XP SP2 OS.
The benchmarks we have used are 3D Mark for graphics performance, PC Mark and
Pov-Ray and the scores were 7594, 5651, 64198 respectively. The score for BW was
49 which is very good.
In Cinebench 10, it gave 4640. Gaming performance was tested using UT3,
Crysis and Company of Heroes. The scores obtained were 60 fps, 38 fps and 108
fps respectively. One important thing that keeps P5K3 apart from the rest of the
P5K lineup is DDR3 support and the built-in system memory onto the board.
