The P7P55D-E is another one from the latest line of
motherboards from Asus in the ATX form factor which carries onboard USB 3.0 and
SATA 6 Gbps connectors. The board supports the Intel P55 Express chipset and is
compatible with the LGA1156 ( Intel Lynnfield/ Clarkdale) processors.The
processor also supports SLI and CrossFireX technologies.
The motherboard scored a more than impressive 14070 in
3DMarks 06, which means a great graphics performance. In PCMark 05, the score
was 9896 which means the motherboard is a decent performer when it comes to
basic office apps. In CineBench, the scores were 10874 CB-CPU, while in POV-Ray,
the motherboard scored a rendered average of 89382 PPSover 2.20 secs; which
means a decent display. It gave 59.79 FPS in Unreal Tournament benchmark, which
ensures a smooth gaming experience. The HDTune benchmark was used to test the
onboard USB 3.0 port performance. Our device was able to transfer data at 109.8
MB/sec with an access time of 16.5 sec. This is the normal speed achieved by all
motherboards available. These scores are more or less similar to the premium
model from the same series from Asus. With nothing major missing from this
board, it may prove to be a better buy then the premium model.

Bottomline: Good performer with a much more
enviable price tag then its compatriot premium model.
