ASUS has launched P8Z68-V PRO motherboard based on Z68 chipset. The motherboard supports the latest Intel second generation Core i7/ i5/ i3 processors in the LGA1155 package, with memory and PCI Express controllers integrated to support 2-channel (4 DIMM) DDR3 memory and 16 PCI Express 2.0 lanes. This provides great graphics performance. The motherboard has Dual Intelligent Processors 2 with DIGI+ VRM that provides precise Vcore PWM, integrated graphics voltages and frequency module adjustments with minimal power loss through BIOS tuning and an exclusive user interface to increase the board's overclocking range while performance reaches its full potential. Like MSI Z68A-GD80 motherboard it has Virtu Switchable Graphics based on LucidLogix Virtu technology. Its other features are onboard Bluetooth which enables smart connectivity to Bluetooth devices, it also has MemOK Technology for push button memory patch. The motherboard scored 5644 in 3DMarks 06 which is more than MSI mobo. In PCMark Vantage, the score was 7593, so it is more than a decent performer when it comes to basic office apps. In CineBench 11.5, the score was 8.09 points, which is again a good score.
Bottomline: With Z68 chipset and a good PC mark score the motherboard becomes a good option. Also it has a good range of USB connectivity options.
