Autofit was in need of a comprehensive ERP solution to consolidate business
information across all locations in real-time. They required a solution that
would generate MIS reports and a decision support system which would keep the
management informed on a dynamic basis and provide critical parameter
information. Earlier they were using an Oracle-based application which was not
mapping out to the company's constant requirement for real-time information.
They then decided to migrate to Microsoft's ERP, Dynamics NAV 3.7. They
implemented the financial management, sales and receivables, purchase and
payables, inventory, manufacturing, human resource and payroll modules. The
implementation took a year, after which business productivity improved by about
40 percent. Earlier, most critical functions like production, reports, quality,
maintenance, financial aging analysis, etc, were handled manually. Using this
solution they were able to save about 20 percent of employee time, which
contributed towards better productivity. The application is easy to use,
customize and maintain. Data can be accessed from multiple locations in
real-time. NAV 3.7 also provides depth of traceability for various documents and
vouchers. Since employee productivity and efficiency has been improved, this has
resulted in improved customer satisfaction.
