New Update

Bank of India has deployed collaborative communication to connect staff in

offices around the country to meet the challenges of a rapidly transforming

industry. One of the major achievements of this implementation is the ability to

conduct important decision making meetings through audio-video conferencing

which has saved on travel time and costs of the interview panel as well as of

the candidates. Conducting classes through unified LIVE meeting (StarLIVE@4) is

another salient feature of this implementation. Knowledge portal, StarDESK, was

also created for information sharing and to maximize the value of knowledge. The

implementation also provides educational network/blogging in public folders

accessible though corporate mail messaging system. Online training portal was

also developed inhouse as a part of this implementation for quick and regular

training of new employees. In future, scores obtained from these trainings would

be integrated automatically in HRMS of the organization.

This new collaborative environments has enabled decision makers to discuss

issues, brainstorm options, evaluate their pros and cons, and many more. Before

the implementation of this project, it was difficult to distribute and track

important corporate communications or circulars across the organization, plus

there was no ways to keep employees up to date on the latest happenings.
