CSS is used to control the presentational layout of a Web document, and this book tells you all about it. It provides all required tools and steps to create Web documents. The first half covers topics as basic syntax used, tools required to create and test Web pages, etc. Other important topics covered include CSS properties, DTD (Document type Declaration), manipulating text and fonts, making a CSS design compatible with IE, static, relative, absolute and fixed positioning, combining CSS with HTML, XHTML or XML. Visuals and diagrams illustrate the topics well. Each chapter ends with a summary and few questions. Appendix A at the end of the book gives answers to the questions. Appendix B, C and D discuss CSS reference, CSS colors and Browser rendering modes.
