New Update

The Benq EW2440-B monitor is a beauty in black, with a glossy frame and slim design. There are touch sensitive monitor control buttons for volume control and right most dot for on/off at right bottom of panel. All the connectivity ports have been arranged vertically at rear of the monitor.

Display and Viewing Angles

The Benq EW2440-B sports a full HD VA panel, and has good brightness levels. Text rendering is good and crisp. While watching videos, playing games, browsing pictures Benq EW2440 monitor delivers good performance. It also has great viewing angles. Another interesting feature of this monitor is Low Blue Light Mode. Since mostly all monitors produce blue light, causing eye-strain and headaches, Benq's Low Blue Light Mode technology deals with these problems to reduce eye strain. You can choose from four Low Blue light modes including Multimedia - 30% reduction, Web-surfing - 50% reduction, Office - 60% reduction, and Reading - 70% reduction.

The monitor has a MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) connection, which is pretty much standard in most displays nowadays. It comes with a MHL cable to allow you to connect any smartphone with an MHL capability to it. We connected a Nexus 4 to it, and the monitor readily recognized the smartphone and acted as its new display. The monitor also has a Smart Focus feature that allows you to determine a display area and make that centerpiece of viewing, and conceal the rest by which you can pay attention to exactly what you aim to view. You can adjust Smart Focus horizontally, vertically from the settings mode.
