One of the most popular mobile games Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has been banned in India, though the reason isn't clear yet, it could be as part of govt initiative to remove a list of Chinese apps, as was its previous version which was banned last year to protect India's security by all means.

According to the reports, a 16-year-old boy allegedly shot his mother over PUBG gaming, which could be the reason for govt to enforce and ban of BGMI in India.

The game has been removed from the Apple store and Google play store, so it won't be available to new users, as far as users who are already using it can still play the game on their devices.

Moreover, BGMI players from across the country won't be in favour of this after finding out that BGMI has unexpectedly been removed from the Google Play Store.

“On receipt of the order, following established process, we have notified the affected developer and have blocked access to the app that remained available on the Play Store in India,” said Google.

Meanwhile, Krafton also gave a statement that they are clarifying how BGMI was removed from Google Play and will let you know once they get specific information, according to 91Mobiles.

Recently, the game collaborated with K-Pop Group Black Pink to host a virtual in-game concert.
