Blend Financial Services' Nevales Implementation

The Problem: The company was facing some problems with the internet usage of employees, and was circumspect about impending hazards if it went unchecked. There was no system prior to centralize management of users online, and user control of employees at remote branches was critically required.

The Solution: Blend Financial deployed 10 Nevales N300-X machines at different sites for comprehensive security and firewall protection. It implemented the use of Nevales Report system to analyze employees for real-time monitoring of bandwidth usage. By using the content filter feature, unsafe web content has now been effectively blocked, and internet traffic of all employees is being regulated. The robust firewall of Nevales allows secure communication between the internet and internal networks. Also, there is automatic security updates and upgrades rolled out to the devices automatically. There is also centralized management through a security management console that is accessible from anywhere and any device.

The Result: The device was implemented in 8 locations and costs about 6 lacs per annum. The company noticed an increase in productivity with better access management and web traffic monitoring. Also, Capex savings have been made as it is used on a pay-as-you-go model, so there are no hassles of paying a huge sum up front.
