This

book is meant for Web-application developers for developing secure and reliable

Web pages. It covers all features of ASP.NET and is divided into five parts,

which cover building forms using Web controls, debugging ASP.NET pages, ASP.NET

DB programming with ADO.NET and SQL Server, and deploying and publishing Web

services using ASP.NET. It starts with a feature overview of ASP.NET and

explains its relationship with the MS .NET framework. In ASP.NET DB programming,

it covers data binding with ASP.NET server controls. Part three discusses the

advanced features of ASP.NET such as security, caching and how to configure

applications. This part also covers how to develop wireless applications using

mobile controls. Part four is about how to build and deploy Web services,

Web-services infrastructure, and standards such as SOAP. Part five covers

ASP.NET applications, wherein the author has tried to explain the same by first

creating an ASP.NET blackjack game and then a discussion forum called chatty.

The bottom line: A very useful book for ASP.NET developers, as it covers

everything there is to know about the subject.
