New Update
PC build

Covid-19 is at its peak in India. Several schools and institutions had started online classes and with the new academic session starting, students and parents might need a better PC build that can help smoothen the learning experience online. Currently, the prices of PC parts is increasing due to the lack of supply in the market, but that does not mean that students can not build a PC for learning and attending classes.

Online classes are not a very task and even a basic and entry-level PC can handle that. This PC build can be achieved at a cost as low as INR 15K.

Processor: AMD Athlon 3000G

This is a dual-core processor that is ideal for building a budget PC. The processor can run applications like Zoom and Google Meet with ease. It only has a TDP of 35W meaning that it does not consume a lot of power and is power efficient. It costs around INR 4.5k to 5k but can be found for a cheaper price in the offline markets.

Motherboard: A320

Advertisment

An A320 motherboard would be just fine for this PC build. These motherboards are compatible with the AMD processor and compliment it perfectly. A good A320 motherboard will have at least 2 RAM slots leaving the scope for future upgrades open. The AMD processor also performs slightly better with dual-channel RAM configuration. An A320 motherboard can start from as low as INR 3600

RAM: 4 GB 2666mHz

Since it is a budget, going with a 4 GB RAM would be a better option. However, if you can spend a little more then choosing an 8 GB stick can give you performance boost but going with a 4 GB RAM stick would help us stay in budget. A single RAM stick costs around INR 2600 for 4 GB at 2666mHz.

Storage: 500 GB HDD

Having an SSD in a build makes a lot of difference, but those storage devices are also costly. A good idea would be to go for an HDD. 500 GB should be enough to start with for students to store all their data and study material in one place. A 500 GB HDD by Seagate costs around INR 2.4k which is fairly in budget.

Power Supply: 400 W

The power supply is a crucial part of the build as it keeps the system running and working fine. Going with a 400 W power supply is a good idea as it is in the budget and can also help the PC run. You can get the Circle 400 W PSU for around INR 1100. This PSU is ideal for this build but if you plan on upgrading the components in the future, it is best to go for a better PSU as well.

Cabinet

The cabinet can be of your personal choice. You can go for an RGB lit cabinet if you want to that would be costly. A good solid cabinet costs around INR 1000-1500. Choosing one like that will complete the build.
