Buy GOQii fitness band in India starting at Rs 5,999

Galaxy Gear, Pebble and TalkBand B1, these are some of the wearable smartwatch devices that have made their way into the market since the start of 2014. And we expect many more names to crop up over the course of this year which is where we have a new brand joining in the wagon, called GOQii.

The US-based company has decided to join hands with e-Commerce firm Snapdeal to sell its fitness band of same name and services to consumers in India. Interestingly, the company is offering the band in first-of-its-kind monthly package, wherein users can avail the company's set of services and GOQii app. The six-month plan will cost Rs 5,999, while the 12-month package has been priced at Rs 9,999.

"Customers will be able to place orders for a GOQii subscription directly from Snapdeal.com with the complete plan including the proprietary GOQii band, the GOQii Personal Coach service and the GOQii app," reiterates Snapdeal.

The subscription fee includes advice and motivation from the fitness coach and experts via video/audio calls and a messaging service. This puts you directly in touch with the fitness instructor and allows them to keep a closer eye on your workout. While it's always easy to turn off a wristband or any other device which keeps telling you to pump it up, it's much harder to do that with a voice, that you have become familiar with, according to GOQii.
