Android is a safe haven for smartphone users when it comes to buying applications for their device but even then you have certain limitations that they come attached with. For that Samsung is looking to encourage and even entice its users to make more use of their own Samsung Apps ecosystem. The Korean major has joined hands with operators like Vodafone and Aircel to offer operator billing integration that facilitates app purchases without the need to pay for it instantly.

Instead, you can buy an app and get the billing for the same done via your monthly mobile bill from your operator in this case them being the ones mentioned above. This is a first-of-its kind initiative by a company and from here on Samsung App store becomes the first to provide this unique offering for an Android App store within India.

The service has been in action since start of this month and apparently, this operator billing integration is available for both prepaid and postpaid customers who would not have to worry about running down their data usage limits anymore or go on a Wi-Fi spot hunting spree.

Samsung has informed that besides Vodafone and Aircel they will be talking to other operators to join in the initiative and we might see more additions in the coming months. Interestingly, the service not only lets you download apps and games but also cover Kindle book service which was recently announced for Samsung.

The operator billing for app is a game changer when it comes to buying an app which is really not the preferred mode for majority of Android users in the country. And with this arrangement and strategy, Samsung carries the chance to not only garner more app-based revenue for its app store but also promote and encourage more users to try and actually buy an application on their device.
