A striking feature that sets the MF4320D apart from other MFDs is its
eco-friendly approach; given that Green IT is the buzzword in the industry
nowaday. But the icing on the cake is that this device does not compromise on
performance in turn. To start with, MF4320D is a monochrome laser printer
bundled with copying and scanning features. It is 'Energy Star' and 'RoHS
'compliant with single button (2-side) 'press auto duplex' feature that saves
paper, adding to the eco-friendliness. To enhance efficiency, many innovative
technologies have been used. These include UFRII Lt (ultra fast rendering)
printing system that integrates computers and MFD's RAM for fast processing that
speeds up printing, and on demand fixing technology for minimizing energy
consumption. In the energy saver mode this device consumes less than 3W of
power. MF4320D also scores a lot in convenience as it's easy to install on a
network and has a USB 2.0 interface with all the necessary buttons to make your
work smooth.
The device was able to print 22 pages per minute, the same as the speed it
took for copying. The first page came out in less than 9s, almost equal to HP
LaserJet M2727nf (reviewed in June 2008). Scanning full page colour document
took about 75s (600 dpi) that is 35s more than HP LaserJet M2727nf. The quality
of print was excellent for text as can be expected from laser printers while
quality of scanned images was good.
Bottom Line: An efficient MFD that consumes less power; in short a
must have for all SMBs.
