Performance

To test this printer we installed it over the network on a Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit). The installation was easy and printer was detected automatically over the network. In the normal mode, it took 8 seconds to print the first page. Also a page containing text and graphics took 8 seconds. To check the speed of the printing we printed 30 pages and it took 1 minute and 40 seconds to print them. To save the papers, Canon imageRunner also supports duplex printing. To check the duplex printing speed, we printed 30 pages and it took 1 minute 41 seconds to print those pages. We printed all these pages on A4 size paper sheet. We also tried to print the images. We printed an image on A4 size glossy paper and it took the printer 9 seconds to print the image. Image quality was really good but it took 41 seconds in warming up.

This printer is a good choice for large workgroups, where printing is done in bulk. Once installed, you do not have to worry about changing the toner for long.

Bottomline: With a huge amount of paper yield and clear and sharp quality, this printer is the right choice for medium and large workgroups.
