Canon Expands its Video Camera Line-up with 9 New 'Palm Held' Models

Cannon adds a new range of professional cameras in the Indian market with full HD video recording capability and more other features. The XA and XF series of cameras have been developed by utilizing advance features. These 9, XA10, XA20, XA25, XF100, XF105, XF200, XF205, XF300 and XF305, "Palm Held" video cameras are lightweight and compact.

The giant imagine company is aiming to increase their market share in India and estimated to capture 15% of the palm held video camera market. Presently about 30,000 units are being sold every year, in which 9,000 units are estimated of palm held cameras. The company calls it Pro-DV, which is focused at the emerging professional video recording culture in India, especially for event videography professionals such as weddings, Electronic News Gathering professionals, Documentary film makers, TV Show recordings etc. Previously the company launched 4 models in CINEMA EOS product group for high end cinematography applications where they received quite impressive growth and achieved 200 installed base in last 2 years.

Canon also going to be engaged in various marketing and consumer engagement initiatives, including, specialized events and workshops for professionals across India. As well as it will educate students across media schools and universities extend professional technical trainings for its partners across India, conduct technical demonstrations for TV stations, Documentary filmmakers and event videography professionals.

These 'Palm Held' video cameras are priced from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 4.25 lakh.
