Canon Launches 4 New Copier Based MFDs, & Document Scanners

The imageRUNNER 1700 series includes 1730, 1730i, 1740i, and 1750i models that offer high speed A4 black and white printing, scanning and copying to address mid and high end desktop A4 printing requirements. The series offers speed ranging for 30ppm to 50ppm. Also, the series comes with inbuilt universal send feature.

The range of document scanners include P-215, DR C-125, DR M-140 and DR M-160 that cover personal, workgroup to department level digitization needs.

“India Inc prints about 15 crores documents annually and is expected to grow at rate of 15% YOY. The government and SMB are key drivers for this segment. The A4 copier-based MFDs is ideally suited to meet all the requirements of Indian SMEs and government sector”, said Dr Alok Bharadwaj, Sr VP, Canon India.

The imageRUNNER 1700 series has a simple design with an improved UI, a large 5.7-inch touch screen and an interface that can be adjusted for users to operate from any position. Users can also print and scan to USB memory sticks.

The P-215 is a compact portable scanner to support high level of mobility. Weighing at around 1kg, the device can be carried anywhere. Users also don't need to install any driver to use this scanner. Verticals like BFSI, Telecom, healthcare, logistics and government sectors can very well use this light scanner to increase productivity in organization.
