Low cost and versatile are two words that describe this printer. You can attach it to your computer directly or connect it to the network using the optional Ethernet print server. Though it may sound cumbersome to some people, it is a blessing in disguise since you would have to pay only for the printer if you do not want network capabilities from it.

The printer costs about Rs12000 and so does the print server. Thus, if you can spare an old machine then you may not invest in the print server at all.

Other than that, it’s a basic printer in terms of features and performance amongst all printers reviewed. Canon LBP-3200 lagged behind by a huge margin from all other printers in features because of the less number of supported paper sizes, and the absence of an automatic duplexer. It also lacked any significant printer management features, even through the print server.

It was also the lowest in performance because of the 600 dpi resolution it offers. It did not fare well in the Wedge patch and Line art tests because of this low resolution.

Overall, considering the price of Rs12000, this printer is a good buy for very small workgroups.
