If you’re looking for a multi-purpose machine that can scan well and quite fast as well as print photos directly from a digital camera, this is a good choice. The MFD has a PCMCIA slot for taking in PC cards. It also comes with a PCMCIA adapter for Compact Flash memory cards. These cards are normally used in digital cameras for storing photos, and this MFD makes it very convenient for printing photos directly from them. In case, you have some other memory card such as Smart Media,
then you just need to buy another PCMCIA adapter card for it.

The MFD does pretty well with print quality giving crisp and clear text and vibrant colors in color graphics. The print speeds are also pretty good, coming to 8 ppm for text and taking just 2 mins for a full page color graphic. Its graphics printing speeds were the best among the entire lot. Copying is also OK, taking 4 CPM for text and 4 mins for the full page graphic. Scanning speeds were average taking 36 secs for both color graphics and text.

Overall, this is a very good MFD for design companies, ad agencies and photo studios who need to print good quality photos on a regular basis, and also need other functions like copying, and scanning. Its highest print resolution of 2400×1200 dpi is one of the things that make it suitable for the job.
